  1. Judy Vik writes in this current issue about the initial choice of hiring the lobbyist firm for getting additional funds at the special meeting held by the commission that would be lobbying to put sewers on the Palm Club’s private property. Vice Mayor Brown stated the costs for the sewers will be between 2.5 and 3 million dollars. This cost estimate is surprising since it is the same amount as over 10 years ago! The cost for the lobbyist is 42 thousand dollars to try and get what is STILL taxpayer money for improvements on private property. On the Consent Agenda for next Tuesday is to hire the lobbyist. Generally a Consent Agenda item is passed cart blanche with no information and no discussion. This will most likely be the case due to that and it being off season. There is still no reached judge approved settlement and no shade session FOIA materials available per a request mede this week to the Town Clerk.
